The Traffic (Waihemo County) Notice No. 1, 1973

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waihemo County) Notice No. 1, 1973.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40 miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. Section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 9th day of August 1967†, which relates to Palmerston in Waihemo County is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Waihemo County at Palmerston:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 320 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Stour Street to a point 540 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Thomas Street).

No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 20 metres measured north-westerly generally along the No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) from Brough Street).

Auskery Street.

Birsa Street (from the No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) to Burranness Street).

Brough Street (from Stour Street to Gilligan Street).

Burranness Street (from the No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) to Stour Street).

Clark Street.

Copinsna Street.

Craig Street.

District Road (from Gilligan Street to a point 640 metres measured westerly generally along District Road from Gilligan Street).

Falcon Street.

Gilligan Street.

Goodwood Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 40 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Falcon Street).

Horse Range Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 200 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said road from the said State highway).

Kirkwall Street.

McKenzie Street.

Muir Street.

Mull Street.

Roseness Street.

Runbrake Street.

Sanday Street.

Start Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Waihemo County at Palmerston:

No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) (from a point 20 metres measured north-westerly generally along said State highway from Brough Street to a point 400 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from Buraness Street).

Tongariro High School Board of Governors Notice 1973

Pursuant to section 54 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Tongariro High School Board of Governors Notice 1973.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1973.

  1. The Board of Governors of Tongariro High School shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board;

(b) Seven members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school;

(c) One member appointed by the Tuwharetoa Maori Trust Board;

(d) Two members co-opted by the Board if and when it thinks fit.

  1. The South Auckland Education Board shall cease to control Tongariro High School and the sole control of that school shall be vested in the Board of Governors constituted by clause 2 of this notice.
