Resumption of Unformed Road in Block V, Kaniere Survey District, Westland County

Pursuant to Section 191B of the Counties Act 1956, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been transferred to the Crown by the Westland County Council, pursuant to the said Section 191B, and as from the date of this notice the land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

  1. Road to be stopped adjoining Rural Sections 1636, 3873, 3874, 4228, and part Rural Section 1531, situated in Block V, Kaniere Survey District: area, 10.8253 hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan 5778).

  2. Road to be stopped adjoining Rural Section 1909, and part Rural Section 3151, situated in Block V, Kaniere Survey District: area, 3.9456 hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan 5778).

  3. Road to be stopped adjoining Reserve 2095, and part Rural Sections 1041, 1991, and 3151, situated in Block V, Kaniere Survey District: area, 2.1246 hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan 5778).

Pursuant to section 7 of the Child Welfare Act 1925, the Minister of Social Welfare hereby notifies that the premises situated as listed in the Schedule below are established as institutions within the meaning of the said Act and shall be known by the names shown in the Schedule.

Notice Relating to the Use of Insecticides Baygon and Baytex in Slaughtering Places, Meat Packing-Houses, and Canneries (No. 576 Ag. 2936)

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Stock (Insecticides and Oestrogens) Regulations 1961, notice is hereby given that any insecticide containing as an active ingredient—

(1) The chemical Baygon (2-isopropoxy-phenyl-N-methyl-carbamate: common name—Propoxur) may be used in:

(a) Any part of any slaughtering place, meat packing-house, or cannery which is not used for the purpose of processing, packing, or storing meat or meat products:

(b) Any yard or other premises attached to a slaughtering place, meat packing-house, or cannery, provided that no stock is contained in such yards or premises at the time of application of the insecticide.

(2) The chemical Baytex (0,0-dimethyl-0-(4-methylmercapto-3 methylphenyl)-thiophosphate: common name—Fenthion) may be used only in those places described in paragraph (1) (b) above.

The Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice No. 1, 1973

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited at the Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice No. 1, 1973.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  5. The Traffic (Hamilton City and Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1971†, dated the 23rd day of June 1971, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to Hamilton City and Waikato County, is hereby revoked.

  6. The Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice No. 1, 1972‡, dated the 20th day of June 1972, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to Hamilton City, is hereby revoked.
