PURSUANT to section 23 of the Machinery Act 1950, I, Hugh
Watt, the Minister of Labour, hereby appoint as from the
26th day of September 1973,

Alfred George Gilbert, C.ENG., M.I.E.T., F.I.MECH.E., M.N.Z.I.E.,
M.C.E.A., A.F.I.I.A., A.F.N.Z.I.M., of Lower Hutt,

to be members of an inquiry directed by me to establish
the cause of an accident which occurred on the 24th day
of August 1973, and in which two teenage girls received
fatal injuries when they fell from an amusement device known
as a ferris wheel which was being operated in The Square
at Palmerston North.

Appointed as Chairman of Chiropractic Board

PURSUANT to section 3 (3) of the Chiropractors Act 1960,
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
appoint

Alexander James Lloyd Martin, Esquire

of Wellington, Barrister and Solicitor, to be Chairman of
the Chiropractic Board for a term of 3 years from 11 September
1973, vice Jack Meltzer, resigned.
