Acquisition of Land as Part of the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a reserve for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of Part IV of the said Act, as an addition to the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve.

Licensing Sydney Cormack to Occupy a Site for a Ramp at Blue Cliffs, Te Wae Wae Bay

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, of the Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation authorised by the Minister of Transport pursuant to section 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby license and permit Sydney Cormack (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Blue Cliffs, Te Wae Wae Bay, as shown on plan marked M.D. 15053 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a ramp as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of September 1973.

3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be sixteen dollars ($16); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Bledisloe and King’s Wharves Project

THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on the Bledisloe and King’s Wharves Development Scheme of the Port of Auckland. Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the wharf project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12042, Wellington, until Monday, 24 September 1973.

Copies of the report may be obtained at the offices of the Auckland Harbour Board, Queen Street, Auckland.

Notice of Intention to Assign Place Names by the New Zealand Geographic Board

PURSUANT to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the names set out in the first column of the Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, any person objecting to any such proposed name may, at any time within the period of 3 months from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette, give to the Secretary of the Board, care of the Department of Lands and Survey, P.O. Box 8003, Government Buildings, Wellington, notice in writing of his objection, setting out the grounds of the objection. Plans showing the location of the features may be inspected at the office of the Chief Surveyor for the department, or at the office of the Secretary of the Board.

If no objection is received by the Board within the aforesaid period of 3 months, the Board’s decision as to any of the said proposed names will be final.
