Declaring Land and Leasehold Estates in Land Taken for
a Government Centre in the City of Wellington
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement
to that effect having been entered into, the land
described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
a Government centre, and the land described in the
Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to an
unregistered lease held from New Zealand Breweries Ltd.,
a duly incorporated company having its registered office at
Wellington, by George Samuel Beca, Ronald Powell Carter,
John Milson Smitharam, Roy Dickinson, Geoffrey Frederick
Rands, and Leslie Gavin Cormack, all of Auckland, and
John Percy Hollings and Martin Harold Ferner, both of
Wellington, all being consulting engineers, for a Government
centre, and the leasehold estate in the land described
in the Third Schedule hereto, held from the Wellington
Hospital Board by New Zealand Breweries Ltd., a duly
incorporated company having its registered office at
Wellington, under and by virtue of memorandum of lease
No. 562312, recorded in certificate of title, Volume 401,
folio 97, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels),
is hereby taken for a Government centre, and the leasehold
estate in the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto,
held from the Wellington Hospital Board by New Zealand
Breweries Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its
registered office at Wellington, under and by virtue of lease
No. 555649, recorded in certificate of title, Volume 401,
folio 97, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels),
is hereby taken for a Government centre from and after the
20th day of August 1973.

Residence in the City of Wellington
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the

to that effect having been entered into, the undivided
one-eighth share in the land described in the Schedule hereto
held by Neville Gordon Cumming of Wellington, company
director, and comprised in certificate of title No. 9D/1051,
Wellington Land Registry, is hereby taken, subject to the
building-line restriction imposed by Order in Council No. 625,
and to leases 880311, 880312, 880314, 880315, 880316,
880317, and 880318, Wellington Land Registry, and together
with the leasehold estate of the said Neville Gordon
Cumming held under and by virtue of lease No. 880313
and recorded in certificate of title, Volume 9B/342, Wellington
Land Registry, are hereby taken for a Ministerial residence
from and after the 20th day of August 1973.
