PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a horticultural research station from and after the 20th day of August 1973.

Declaring an Easement in Gross over Land Taken for the Purposes of an Aerodrome in Block I, Paekakariki Survey District, Hutt County

———

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, an easement in gross is hereby taken for the purposes of an aerodrome over the land described in the Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen from and after the 20th day of August 1973 the following full and free rights, liberties, licences, and privileges in perpetuity that is to say:

(a) The right to transmit by cable, electrical energy backwards and forwards, under, along, and over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

(b) The right to enter upon all or any of the said land at all times by her servants, agents, and workmen, with all necessary tools, implements, plant, machinery, and vehicles, for the purposes of laying, constructing, repairing, renewing, and maintaining at such depths as shall be necessary, all cables and fittings as shall be required for the unimpeded transmission of electrical energy as aforesaid.

(c) The right to dig up and break the surface of the said land or any parts thereof, and generally to do and perform all acts and things as may be necessary or proper, including reinstatement of the said land for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned:

Provided, however, that the registered proprietor of the said land shall, except in emergencies, be given reasonable notice before any work is carried out.
