Take notice that a meeting of the creditors in the above matter will, in pursuance of section 284 of the above Act, be held at the offices of messieurs Findlay, Hoggard, Richmond and Co., Twelfth Floor, Macarthy Trust Building, 140-150 Lambton Quay, Wellington, at 2.15 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday the 17th day of August 1973, for the purposes set out in sections 284, 285, and 286 of the above Act.

To consider an extraordinary resolution for winding up passed by the above company on the 16th day of August 1973.

To consider a statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of creditors of the company and the estimated amount of their claims.

To nominate a person to be liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs and distributing the assets of the above-named company.

To appoint members of a committee of inspection.

To consider the appointment of members of the committee of inspection appointed by the company.

IN THE MATTER of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and IN THE MATTER of the VAUGHAN TRUST settled by Thomas Foster Vaughan of Long Bay, Farmer
Notice is hereby given that THOMAS FOSTER VAUGHAN, ERIC AUSTIN GOWING, KENNETH FORREST and JOHN WINTON LEITCH the Trustees of the Vaughan Trust have filed in the Supreme Court at Auckland a Motion for an Order approving a scheme for the variation of the Trust set up by Deed of Trust on the 27th day of February 1963 it being alleged by the Trustees that it is impossible impracticable and inexpedient to carry out in the exact manner the charitable purposes expressed in the said Deed.
The said scheme provides:

This Scheme relates to the Vaughan Trust as set out in the Deed of Trust bearing date the 27th day of February 1963 between Thomas Foster Vaughan of Long Bay Farmer as settlor and Eric Austin Gowing, Bishop of Auckland, Charles Walter Kent-Johnston, Clerk in Holy Orders, Kenneth Forrest Solicitor all of Auckland and the said Thomas Foster Vaughan and comprising all those pieces of land situated in the Parochial District of Auckland containing together nineteen acres twenty-nine decimal eight perches (19 acs. 29.8 pchs) being parts of Allotment 37 of the Parish of Okura being the residue of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title Volume 1615 folio 2 Auckland Registry.

From and after the date on which the Scheme is approved by an order made by a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand the land set out in the said Deed of Trust shall be held upon the trusts set out in the said Deed of Trust but as varied in accordance with the provisions of the Scheme.

The definition in Clause 1 of the said Deed of Trust of “Diocesan Conference Centre and Retreat House” shall be replaced by the definition hereinafter set out:
“Diocesan Conference Centre and Retreat House means the use of the trust land as a conference centre for Anglicans of all ages as a retreat house for anglican clergy and laity as a youth weekend and holiday camp as a centre for meetings for organised groups both within the Anglican Church and within other religious communities youth or educational organisations and such other uses analogous or incidental thereto as the trustees may decide provided that at no time shall the trust land be used for any purpose which is not a charitable purpose as defined by law.”
