Consenting to the Assignment of a Licence to Use Water
for the Purpose of Generating Electricity


PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of
Electricity hereby assigns to Kelvin Heights Properties Ltd.,
of Lake Wakatipu, a licence dated 23 July 1957 authorising
Rui Raymond Key, of Fairlie, farmer, to use water for
the purpose of generating electricity (Gazette, 25 July 1957,
p. 1374), the licence having been assigned to Patrick Hedley
Scott, farmer, Queenstown (Gazette, 1 December 1960,
p. 1878), and then to Peter Daniel Rowley Smith, farmer,
Queenstown (Gazette, 26 October 1967, p. 1859).

Licensing the Chatham Island Packing Co. to Erect and Use
Electric Lines


PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of
Electricity hereby licenses the Chatham Island Packing Co.,
of Waitangi, Chatham Islands, subject to the following condi-
tions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric
lines described in the Schedule hereto.


CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical
    Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations
    1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regula-
    tions made in amendment of or in substitution for any of
    those regulations.

  2. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph
    (a) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations
    1967, and shall be an alternating current system.

  3. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the expiration of a period of 21 years
    from the date hereof or until electrical energy is available
    from an electric power board or other public source of supply,
    whichever is the earlier.


SCHEDULE

ELECTRIC lines commencing from the licensee’s generator and
proceeding in an easterly direction generally to the Hotel
Chatham. The said lines being situated in Block PT 66,
Mangoutu Survey District, in part County Kererione; as
shown on the plan marked, N.Z.E.D. 879, deposited in the
office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington.

tion of the Northern Coal Mines Underground Officials’
Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1109, situated
at 37 Bailey Street, Huntly, is hereby cancelled as from
the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant
Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated

Magistrate’s Court, Kawakawa


PURSUANT to section 10 (3) of the Magistrates’ Court Rules
1948, the Minister of Justice has approved that the office
of the Registrar of the Magistrate’s Court at Whangarei
also be the office of the Magistrate’s Court at Kawakawa,
and, pursuant to section 11 (2), that the hours of attendance
at the Kawakawa Court be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week, as from 7 August
1973.

PURSUANT to section 34B of the Licensing Trusts Act 1949,
I, Eric Alderson Missen, Secretary for Justice, hereby give
notice that the Porirua District Licensing Trust passed the
following resolution:

“That on any day other than a day in which premises
are required to be closed, the Trust Bottle Store located in
commercial premises at Collins Avenue, Linden, will open
and close as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday—open 9.00 a.m. close at 7.00 p.m.”
