Maori Land Development Notice


PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Gisborne 1973, No. 11.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation


WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated 15 December 1943, published in the New Zealand Gazette on 23 December 1943, No. 112, p. 1518, the land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation; and whereas it is now desired to extend the reservation to contain adjoining land as recommended by the Maori Land Court:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows.


NOTICE

  1. The Maori reservation constituted by Order in Council dated 15 December 1943, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 23 December 1943, No. 112, p. 1518, relating to the land described in the First Schedule, is hereby cancelled.

  2. The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the Ngai Turanga hapu of Tuhoe and the Maori people of the district generally.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XI of the Whakatane Survey District and described as follows:

Appointment and Revocation of Customs Examining Place in New Zealand


PURSUANT to powers delegated to me by the Comptroller of Customs under section 9 of the Customs Act 1966, and pursuant to section 32 of the Customs Act 1966, I, James Robert, the Collector of Customs, Timaru, hereby appoint the place described in the First Schedule hereto to be a place for the examination of goods subject to the control of Customs, and hereby revoke the appointment* of the place described in the Second Schedule hereto as an examining place for the purposes of that Act.

Describing the Boundaries of the Thames Abattoir District and Specifying the Thames Borough Council as the Controlling Authority of the Abattoir (Notice No. 519 Ag. 20002A)


PURSUANT to section 15 (4) of the Meat Act 1964, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries for the purpose of the said section, notice is hereby given as follows:

  1. The Thames Abattoir District shall henceforth comprise all the area for the time being comprised in the Borough of Thames, the County of Thames, and the Colville, Coromandel, and Waiau Ridings of the County of Coromandel.

  2. The Thames Borough Council shall continue as the controlling authority of the Thames Abattoir.
