NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and
in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:
Notice is hereby given that the Corporation of the Mayor,
Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Lower Hutt, a
body corporate under the provisions of the Municipal Cor-
porations Act 1954, proposes, under the provisions of the
above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities
it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, namely,
housing, and for the purpose of that public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken,
and notice is hereby further given that a plan marked
T.P. 983 of the said land which is required to be taken
is deposited at the offices of the Town Clerk, Municipal
Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is
there open for inspection without fee by all persons during
ordinary office hours. Any person affected by the execution
of the said public work or the taking of the said land
should, if he has any objection to the execution of the
said public work or to the taking of the said land (not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensa-
tion), send his written objection within 40 days from the
first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City
Corporation addressed to the Town Clerk in his office
aforesaid. And notice is hereby further given that if any
objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of that
objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires,
and each objector will be advised of the time and place of
that hearing and at that hearing each objector will be advised
of the reasons for the proposed taking.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situate at the corner of Laings
Road and Huia Street in the City of Lower Hutt containing
849.9 square metres (33.6 perches), more or less, being
part of Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being part of
Lot 8 on Deposited Plan No. 1519, and the balance of
the land contained and described in certificate of title,
Volume 259, folio 28 (Wellington Registry).
