Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Wairarapa Hospital Board

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands
hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto
as a reserve for hospital purposes and further, pursuant to
the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve
in the Wairarapa Hospital Board, in trust, for that purpose.

Appointment of the Waikouaiti Ratepayers Association to Control and Manage a Reserve

   and the Town Districts of Edendale and Otautau.

2. The Southland Butchers By-Products Co. Ltd. shall continue to be the controlling authority of the Invercargill Abattoir.

The Palmerston North Technical Institute Notice 1973

Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the
Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Palmerston North
   Technical Institute Notice 1973.
   (2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its
   publication in the Gazette.

2. There shall be a Board of Governors to be known
   as the Council of the Palmerston North Technical Institute.

3. The Council of the Palmerston North Technical Institute
   shall be constituted as follows:
   (a) One member appointed by the Council of Massey
   University;
   (b) One member appointed jointly by the Manawatu
   Branch of the Society of Accountants and the
   Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce Incorporated;
   (c) One member appointed by the Palmerston North
   Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects;
   (d) One member appointed by the Manawatu Branch of
   the New Zealand Institution of Engineers;
   (e) One member appointed by the Manawatu Branch of
   the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry;
   (f) One member elected by the associations of employees
   in local industries situated within a radius of
   30 miles from the Chief Post Office, Palmerston
   North;
   (g) One member elected by the associations of employers
   in local industries situated within a radius of 30 miles
   from the Chief Post Office, Palmerston North;
   (h) Three members co-opted by the Council itself, if and
   when it thinks fit.

4. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the members
   of the Palmerston North Technical Institute Board of
   Governors shall hold office for a term of 3 years, but may
   from time to time be reappointed or re-elected.
   (2) Except in the case of a casual vacancy, every member
   shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the third year
   after the year of his appointment or election, and if on
   the 31st day of May the appointment or election of his
   successor has not been notified to the Board, he shall continue to hold office until the date on which the appointment
   or election is notified.

(3) If any member dies, or resigns his office by writing
under his hand addressed to the Board or the chairman
or the secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from
the meetings of the Board for 3 consecutive months, or
while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to
