Land Taken for the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway in the City of Auckland

DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, and section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 9.5 perches situated in the City of Auckland, North Auckland R.D., and being part Allotment 8 of Section 44 of the City of Auckland. All certificate of title, Volume 596, folio 234, limited as to parcels, North Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of June 1973.

Land Taken for Railway Purposes in Grey County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block III, Waimea Survey District, described as follows:

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 0 10.1 Crown land and part Greymouth-Hokitika Railway.
0 1 4.9 Part Greymouth-Hokitika Railway.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 26559 (S.O. 5723) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of June 1973.

Appointment of Members of the State Services Tribunal

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 25th day of June 1973

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 27 of the State Services Remuneration and Conditions of Employment Act 1969,

William Hutchings

having been appointed the official member of the State Services Tribunal for a term of 3 years commencing on the 9th day of November 1970 and having resigned his office on the 5th day of June 1973, and

William Ernest Berrie Tucker

having been appointed the member of the State Services Tribunal, appointed on the joint nomination of the service organisations, for a term of 3 years commencing on the 9th day of November 1970 and having resigned his office

on the 15th day of March 1972, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of State Services hereby appoints

Adrian George Rodda

as the official member of the State Services Tribunal to fill the vacancy, created by the resignation of the said William Hutchings, on and from the 25th day of June 1973 for the residue of the term for which the said William Hutchings was appointed, which term expires on the 8th day of November 1973, and

Edward John Batt

as member of the State Services Tribunal, appointed on the joint nomination of the service organisations, to fill the vacancy, created by the resignation of the said William Ernest Berrie Tucker, on and from the 25th day of June 1973 for the residue of the term for which the said William Ernest Berrie Tucker was appointed, which term expires on the 8th day of November 1973.

The Golden Bay County Council Foreshore Control Order 1973

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day of June 1973

Present:

THE HON. H. WATT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (a) This order may be cited as the Golden Bay County Council Foreshore Control Order 1973.

(b) This order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. In this order—

“The Act” means the Harbours Act 1950:

“The Council” means the Golden Bay County Council:

“Foreshore” means such parts of the bed, shore, or banks of a tidal water as are covered and uncovered by the flow and ebb of the tide at ordinary spring tides:

“Minister” means the Minister of Transport, and includes any officer, person, or authority acting by or under the direction or authority of the Minister.

  1. There is hereby granted to the Council for a period of 21 years from the commencement of this order, subject to the provisions of section 165 of the Act and to the conditions specified in the Second Schedule to this order, the control of the foreshore described in the First Schedule to this order.

FIRST SCHEDULE

(a) All that area of foreshore at Takaka abutting the causeway leading to the Waitapu Wharf.

(b) All that area of foreshore at Takaka abutting Section I, Block VI, of the Waitapu Survey District.

(c) All that area of foreshore at Collingwood commencing at a point in line with the common boundary of section 372 and Section I (Custom House Reserve) of the Town of Collingwood in Block XV of the Pakawau Survey District and thence generally northerly, easterly, and southerly around the headland of Aorere Harbour abutting Gibbs Town to a point in line with the common boundary of Sections 1 and 2 of Pt. I, D.P. 1501, Block XV, of the Pakawau Survey District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) Her Majesty or the Governor-General and all officers in the Government service acting in the execution of their duty shall, at all times, have free ingress, passage, and egress into, over, and out of the foreshore described in the First Schedule to this order.
