Declaring a Water Supply Easement Over Land Taken for
Waterworks in Block XIV, Rangiriri Survey District, and
Block II, Newcastle Survey District, Raglan County
Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby declares that, sufficient agreements
to that effect having been entered into, the water supply
easement described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for waterworks over the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto, and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Raglan from and after the
5th day of February 1973.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Description of Easement

1. The full and free right for the Raglan County Council
   (hereinafter called "the Grantee") to take and convey water
   in free and unimpeded flow from the bore and storage tank
   connected thereto as shown on the plans marked M.O.W.
   26353 (S.O. 44376), M.O.W. 26354 (S.O. 44378), and M.O.W.
   26355 (S.O. 45263).
2. The right to lay, place, and maintain in and under the
   land described in the Second Schedule hereto a line of water
   pipes of an internal diameter of not more than three (3)
   inches from the said bore and storage tank in the direction
   indicated on the said plans, the said pipes to be laid, placed,
   and maintained where the same pass through or over arable
   land at a depth not less than two (2) feet and not more
   than three (3) feet below the surface of the said land.
3. The right for the Grantee, its surveyors, engineers, ser-
   vants, agents and workmen, with or without any necessary
   vehicles, implements, tools, pipes, and materials of any kind
   for the purposes of laying, placing, maintaining, and repairing
   and replacing the said pipeline and opening up the soil of the
   said lands in so far as shall be reasonably necessary or
   incidental thereto, but in and about the exercise of all or
   any of its rights hereunder, the Grantee and its surveyors,
   engineers, agents, and workmen will cause as little damage
   as possible and will at its own cost restore the said surface
   as nearly as possible to its then former condition or state,
   and as may be necessary will replace the soil thereof with
   the surface and turf thereof adjusted and consolidated to
   the appropriate level, not only immediately above the pipeline,
   but also on either side thereof to the full extent that the
   soil shall have been disturbed in the course of the work.
