The Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1973

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1973.
  2. The locality specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
  4. The notice under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 8th day of June 1937, which relates to Taranaki County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Taranaki County at Glenavon:
All that area commencing at a point where the right bank of the Waiwhakaiho River intersects with the eastern boundary of Smart Road, thence generally southerly along the said right bank of the Waiwhakaiho River to the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 4952, thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 4952, part Lot 1, D.P. 4952, and part Sub. 5, D.P. 880, to the western side of Smart Road, thence generally northerly along the western side of Smart Road to and across the Railway Reserve to the northern side of that reserve thence along a right line across Smart Road in an easterly direction to the eastern side of that road, thence generally northerly along the eastern side of Smart Road (to and across State Highway No. 3) to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within the County of Taranaki adjacent to New Plymouth:
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from the eastern boundary of Smart Road to a point 40 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the said road).

The Traffic (Southland County) Notice No. 2, 1973

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Southland County) Notice No. 2, 1973.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

  3. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 20th day of February 1962*, which relates to Southland County, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Southland County adjacent to the Makarewa Freezing Works:
Branksholme-Makarewa Road (from the northern side of the stock entrance to the Makarewa Freezing Works to a point 24 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from the said northern side of the stock entrance).

PURSUANT to the powers delegated to me by the Comptroller of Customs under section 9 of the Customs Act 1966, and pursuant to section 32 of the Customs Act 1966, I, Michael John O'Connor, the Collector of Customs, Auckland, hereby appoint the places described in the First Schedule hereto to be temporary examining places for the examination of goods subject to the Control of the Customs, and hereby revoke the appointments* of the places described in the Second Schedule hereto as temporary examining places for the purposes of that Act.
