ORDER

1. (a) This order may be cited as the Waikohu County Hydatids Control District Order 1973.
   (b) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2. The area comprising the Waikohu County, as from time to time constituted, is hereby declared a hydatids control district to be called the Waikohu County Hydatids Control District.
3. The Waikohu County Council is hereby appointed the Hydatids Control Authority for the Waikohu County Hydatids Control District.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:

REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointment
Flight Lieutenant D. S. Lloyd is appointed to a permanent commission with effect from 13 March 1973.

Promotions
Flight Lieutenant G. A. Oldfield to be Squadron Leader with seniority and effect from 5 May 1973.
Flight Lieutenant M. H. Bond to be Squadron Leader with seniority and effect from 5 May 1973.

Transfers to Reserve
Flight Lieutenant Ronald Walter Campbell is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 9 January 1977, with effect from 17 February 1973.
Flight Lieutenant Brian Kenneth Bassett, A.F.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 9 January 1977, with effect from 27 February 1973.

Transfer to Retired List
Wing Commander Owen David Staple, D.F.C., A.F.C., is transferred to the Retired List “A” with effect from 31 March 1973.

Signals Division
Squadron Leader J. B. Noonan to be Acting Wing Commander with effect from 15 February 1973.
Armament Division
Flight Lieutenant G. L. Cameron is appointed to a permanent commission with effect from 30 March 1973.

Promotions
Engineer Division
Flying Officer (temp. Flight Lieutenant) E. D. Hubbard to be Flight Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 7 April 1973.
Signals Division
Squadron Leader D. Osborne, GRAD.I.E.R.E., to be Wing Commander, with seniority from 16 February 1973 and effect from 24 April 1973.

Reversion of Rank
Armament Division
Flying Officer (temp. Flight Lieutenant) R. G. McKay relinquishes the temporary rank of Flight Lieutenant with effect from 8 May 1973.

Extension of Commission and Age for Retirement
Engineer Division
The short-service commission and age for retirement of Flight Lieutenant R. C. Allan are extended until 6 April 1976, followed by 4 years on the Reserve of Air Force Officers.

Transfer to Retired List
Signals Division
Squadron Leader Leighton Francis Meyer, C.ENG., M.I.E.R.E., A.N.Z.I.M., is transferred to the Retired List “A” with effect from 13 January 1973.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLY BRANCH
Extensions of Commissions
Secretarial Division
The short-service commission of Flight Lieutenant R. R. Parsons is extended until 4 July 1982, followed by 4 years on the Reserve of Air Force Officers.
Special Duties Division
The short-service commission of Flight Lieutenant P. J. Amodeo is extended until 14 September 1977, followed by 4 years on the Reserve of Air Force Officers.

Transfers to Retired List
Supply Division
Wing Commander Murray Donald Morgan: with reference to the notice published in the Gazette, 12 April 1973, No. 31, p. 731, for the heading “Special Duties Division” substitute “Supply Division”.
Flight Lieutenant Francis William Gaucheron Diment, B.E.M., is transferred to the Retired List “A” with effect from 10 April 1973.
