  1. The Traffic (Gisborne City) Notice No. 1, 1972, dated the
    31st day of October 1972* under section 52 of the Transport
    Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956,
    which relates to Gisborne City, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Gisborne City:

No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa)
(from the western boundary of Gisborne City to a point
10 chains measured westerly generally along the said State
highway from Taruheru Road and from Tyndall Road to the
south-eastern boundary of Gisborne City).

Awapuni Road (from Stanley Road to a point 5 chains
measured westerly generally along Awapuni Road from Lytton
Road).

Back Ormond Road (from the north-western boundary of
Gisborne City to a point 5 chains measured north-westerly
generally along the said road from Lytton Road).

Centennial Marine Drive (from a point 16 chains measured
south-westerly generally along the said road from Stanley
Road to the south-western boundary of Gisborne City).

Nelson Road (from the western boundary of Gisborne City
to a point 24 chains measured westerly generally along the
said road from Lytton Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Gisborne City:

The Traffic (Geraldine County) Notice No. 1, 1973

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Geraldine
    County) Notice No. 1, 1973.

  2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the
    purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes
    of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that
    a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time
    during the period commencing with the 1st day of December
    in each year and ending with the 28th day of February in
    the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed
    limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

  4. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of
    regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, to the intent
    that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon during the
    period commencing with the 28th day of February each year
    and ending with the 1st day of December shall be subject to
    the speed limitation fixed by the said regulation.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Geraldine County at Clandeboye:

Rolleston Road (from a point 10 chains measured northerly
generally along the said road from Canal Road to a point
14 chains measured southerly generally along the said road
from Canal Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Geraldine County at Peel Forest:

Peel Forest - Coopers Creek Road (from a point 12 chains
measured southerly generally along the said road from Ferry
Road to a point 36 chains measured northerly generally along
the said road from Brake Road).

Change of Name of Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board

NOTICE is hereby given that the name of the Ashburton
Electric Power and Gas Board will be changed to Ashburton
Electric Power Board as from April 1973 pursuant to a
resolution of the Board dated the 21st day of August 1972
and following the consent of the New Zealand Gas Council,
dated the 23rd day of May 1972, to the closing of the
Board’s gas undertaking.

Price Order No. 2209 (Steel Products Manufactured by Pacific
Steel Ltd.)

Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal
hereby makes the following price order:

PRELIMINARY

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2209 and shall
    come into force on the 26th day of January 1973.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 2203* is hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability
    of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before
    the coming into force of this order.

  3. In this order:

The expression “f.o.r.” means “free on rail”, and the expres-
sion “c and f” means “cost and freight”.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This order applies to the following steel products manu-
    factured by Pacific Steel Ltd.:

Rolled and Rerolled Steel Bars

  1. Rounds
  2. Squares
  3. Flats
  4. Angles
  5. Channels

MAXIMUM PRICES TO BE CHARGED

  1. (1) The maximum factory selling prices that may be charged or
    received by Pacific Steel Ltd. for any steel products to which this
    order applies shall be the basis price shown in this order, with
    adjustments in the form of extras as specified hereunder being made
    as appropriate.

(2) The maximum prices, as aforesaid, are fixed for deliveries as
follows:

(a) Within a radius of 25 miles of Otahuhu, free on truck at mill.
(b) “f.o.r.” Whangarei, Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga, Gis-
borne, Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, New Ply-
mouth, Wanganui, Masterton, Lower Hutt, Wellington,
Blenheim, Christchurch, and Invercargill.
(c) Landed on wharf or at railhead at Lyttelton, Timaru,
Oamaru, Nelson, Greymouth, Dunedin, and Bluff.
(d) For sales to other areas, the approved maximum selling
prices may be surcharged with the amount which does not
exceed the actual freight incurred for transport of steel
from the nearest freight paid point mentioned above.

(3) The maximum basis price shall be $153.50 per tonne, and
shall apply to mild steel concrete reinforcing bars made in
conformity with New Zealand Standard Specification 3423 P:
1972, angles, channels, flats, squares, and rounds other than
reinforcing made in conformity with British Standard Specification
4360: 1968 Part 1, Grades 43A, 43A. 1.

(4) The basis price shall cover the following sizes:

Rounds ¾” diameter and over
Squares ½” to 3”
Flats
Angles
All shapes and sizes not included in 6 (1)
below.

(N.B. The company is not making basis size channels—
8” × 3” and over.)
