ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount
or payment of compensation, must state their objections in
writing and send the same within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Redan Road, Kaitaia.

Deposited Plan 10009 (North Auckland Registry) situated
at numbers 148 to 170 inclusive, Commerce Street, and
Lots 286 to 291 inclusive on Deposited Plan 14289 (North
Auckland Registry) situated at numbers 2 Blencowe Street,
29, 31, and 33 Puckey Avenue and corner Puckey Avenue
and Blencowe Street, all being properties between Blencowe
Street and Taaffe Street in Kaitaia.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER PART II OF
THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

IN the matter of the Town and Country Planning Act
1953, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Public
Works Act 1928:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kaitaia Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of
a service lane, and for the purposes of such public work
the lands situated in the Borough of Kaitaia described in
the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town
Clerk to the said Council situated in Redan Road, Kaitaia,

ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Stormwater Drainage Reticulation Loan 1973—$640,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of $640,000, authorised to be raised by the
One Tree Hill Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which
the Stormwater Drainage Reticulation Loan 1970, of $860,000,
was sanctioned, the said One Tree Hill Borough Council
hereby makes a special rate of 0.928c in the dollar upon
the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough
of One Tree Hill and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Borough of Levin taken on the 1st day of May
1973 on the proposal of the above-named local authority
to raise a loan of $15,000, to be known as the Fluoridation
Loan 1972, for the purpose of fluoridating the Borough
water supply resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,100
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3,225
The number of informal votes was …… …… 24

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 4th day
of May 1973, cancelled the registry of Progress Lodge,
No. 160, a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows
Grand Lodge of New Zealand, Register No. 146/262, with
registered office held at Combined Friendly Societies Hall,
Te Kuiti, on the ground that the said branch has ceased
to exist.
