Land Taken for a Motorway Between Otokia and Waihola
in Block VI, Maungatua Survey District, Taieri County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a motorway; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of May 1973.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 5 acres and 14.6 perches situated in Block VI, Maungatua Survey District, being part Sections 37, 73, 1 of 74, 2 of 74, 75, and 2 of 76; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22713 (S.O. 16629) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 7th day of May 1973.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 422 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, and used as a roadway, to be road and to be vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Bay of Islands.

Authorising the Construction of a Further Portion of the Henderson Motorway in the Auckland Regional District

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 7th day of May 1973

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a further portion of the Henderson Motorway commencing at Henderson Valley Road approximately north of Garelja Road in the Borough of Henderson and proceeding in a westerly direction between and approximately parallel to Domain Road and Garelja Road crossing the Opanuku Stream to pass under Sturgess Road south-west of Spence Road; then proceeding generally in a north-westerly direction approximately parallel to Monroe Road and to the north of Babich Road, to Metcalfe Road which is crossed between Ranui Road and Simpsons Road; then proceeding in a more northerly direction to the west and approximately parallel to Ranui Road to cross Pooks Road and then the Newmarket-Opua railway line west of the Ranui Station to terminate on the Henderson-Kumeu (via Swanson) Road north of the intersection of the last-mentioned road and Airdrie Road.

ALL that piece of land containing 1.5 perches situated in the City of New Plymouth, being part Lot 1, D.P. 9098, being part Section 1433, Town of New Plymouth; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 27031 (S.O. 10237) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

PURSUANT to section 175B (2) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests in the Manukau City Council the land described in the Schedule hereto, which land was authorised for reclamation by Order in Council of 16 November 1966*, such land to be vested as a recreation reserve, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953.
