Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956


PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 49 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of regulation 29, motor cycle safety helmet of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

SAFETY helmet model “Centurion X 100GT”, manufactured by Thetford Motor Products Ltd. and bearing the certification mark of the British Standards Institute and the standard No. B.S. 1869:1952.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road


PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, the National Roads Board hereby revokes its resolution of 16 August 1972, pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, declaring that part of No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton to Woodville via New Plymouth) from the Taranaki/Wellington provincial boundary to the western boundary of the Township of Waverley as more particularly shown on sheet 1 of plan M.O.W. 17964 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Wanganui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road, in so far as the afore-mentioned declaration affects that part of the said No. 3 State Highway having a width of 1 chain and fronting Lot 2, D.P. 25299, part Sections 152 and 153, Okotuku District, shown on sheet 1 of the said plan M.O.W. 17964.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road


It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 13 December 1972 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui to Bluff) from a point opposite the northern boundary of part Ohuanga North 5A, Crown land, New Zealand Gazette, 1940, p. 1530, at Turangi, to its junction with No. 47 State Highway at Rangipo, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 and 2 of plans M.O.W. 34757 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Taumarunui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road


It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 13 December 1972 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui to Bluff) from the southern end of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway at Johnsonville to its junction with No. 2 State Highway at Ngauranga, with the exception of the portion having a width of approximately one chain and lying on the north-eastern side of the said State highway between the southern end of part D.P. 4746, part (8 and 9)C, Ngauranga Reserve, and Malvern Road, as more particularly shown on sheets 1, 2, and 3 of plans M.O.W. 34878 and the accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Porirua, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Part VI, Transport Act 1962—Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third-Party Risks)


IN accordance with the provisions of subsection 5 of section 80 of the Transport Act 1962, notice is hereby given that the A.A. Mutual Insurance Co., previously called the N.I.M.U. Insurance Co. and the name of which was changed with the authority of the Registrar of Companies on the 28th day of September 1972, is a company that has given notice as required by subsection (1) of section 80 of the Transport Act 1962 of its willingness to undertake insurance business in terms of Part VI of the Transport Act 1962.

Cancellation of Registration as a Teacher


PURSUANT to section 135 (1) of the Education Act 1964, the name of George Reginald Arthur Gould has been removed from the Teachers’ Register and his teachers’ certificate has been cancelled.

Relicensing Carter Merchants (Maramarua) Ltd. to Occupy a Site for a Bridge at Okuru River


PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, the Executive Officer, Harbours and Foreshores Section, Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Transport pursuant to section 265A of the aforesaid Act, hereby licenses and permits Carter Merchants (Maramarua) Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its administrators, successors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the bed of the Okuru River, as shown on plan marked M.D. 14014 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a bridge as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 2 years from the 1st day of March 1973.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be six dollars ($6) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.
