All that area in the Wellington Land District containing
6.4 square miles, more or less, being portion of the County
of Hutt and reclamations bounded by a line commencing
at the north-western corner of part Section 34, Porirua
District (C.T. 427/142), in Block VII, Belmont S.D., and
proceeding southerly along the eastern boundary of
Section 117, Ohariu District, to the north-western corner
of part Section 32, Porirua District (C.T. 352/257); thence
easterly along the northern boundary of the said part
Section 32 and along a right line across Porirua Road and
the North Island Main Trunk Railway to and along the
northern boundary of Section 33, Porirua District, and its
production to the eastern side of No. 1 State Highway
(motorway); thence generally north-easterly along that side
and the eastern side of Takapu Road to and along the
northern boundary of Section 39, Porirua District, and the
eastern boundaries of Sections 40 and 169, Porirua District
(including the crossing of Takapu Road), to the north-western
corner of Section 1, Takapu District; thence easterly
along the northern boundary of the said Section 1 (including
the crossing of Takapu Road) to its north-eastern corner;
thence generally southerly along the eastern boundary of
the said Section 1, the northern and eastern boundaries of
Section 38, Horokiwi Road District, and the eastern boundary
of Section 19, Horokiwi Road District, to the south-western
corner of part Section 20, Horokiwi Road District
(C.T. 444/197); thence easterly along the southern boundary
of the said part Section 20 to its south-eastern corner;
thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern
boundaries of Sections 20, 21, 22, and 24, Horokiwi Road
District, the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 25,
the generally eastern boundaries of Section 26, the south-eastern
boundaries of Sections 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 39,
33, and 34, Horokiwi Road District, the northern boundary
of Section 343, Hutt District, and its production to the
middle of a road, and along the middle of that road to
a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 348,
Hutt District; thence generally westerly to and along the
northern and western boundaries of the said section 348
and the northern boundary of Section 35, Horokiwi Road
District, to the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2544; thence
generally south-westerly along the boundaries of the City
of Porirua and the Borough of Tawa as described in Gazette,
1968, p. 2123, to the point of commencement.

FOURTH SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that area in the Wellington Land District containing
3.2 square miles, more or less, being portion of
the County of Hutt and reclamations bounded by a line
commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of
the sea in line with the southern boundary of Haukopua
West Block in Block V, Paekakariki S.D., and proceeding
easterly to and along that boundary, the northern side of
Pukerua Road, the western side of the North Island Main
Trunk Railway to a point in line with the southern boundary
of Haukopua East Block, and to and along that boundary
to the eastern side of No. 1 State Highway; thence southerly
along that side to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Section 84, Porirua District, and along a right
line to and along that boundary and its production to the
mean high-water mark of Porirua Harbour; thence south-westerly
and generally northerly along the mean high-water
mark of Porirua Harbour and the sea to the point of
commencement.

Secondly, all that area in the Wellington Land District
containing 0.9 of a square mile, more or less, being portion
of the County of Hutt and reclamations bounded by a line
commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of
the southern shore of Porirua Harbour in line with the
western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 3138, in Block VIII,
Paekakariki S.D., and proceeding southerly to and along
that boundary to the south-western corner of the said Lot 4;
thence westerly along the northern boundary of Lot 6,
D.P. 3138, and a right line to and along the southern
boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 9341, and the north-eastern
boundaries of Section 286, Porirua District, Lot 1, D.P. 26571,
Lots 34 and 33, D.P. 29188, and Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 19160,
and their production to the mean high-water mark of the
south-eastern shore of Porirua Harbour; thence generally
easterly along that high-water mark of Porirua Harbour to
the point of commencement.

FIFTH SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing
4.3 square miles, more or less, being portion of the County
of Hutt and reclamations bounded by a line commencing
at a point on the mean high-water mark of the sea due
north-west of the northernmost corner of Pukerua 3C1A
in Block III, Paekakariki S.D., and proceeding generally
south-easterly along a right line to that corner and along
the eastern boundary of Pukerua 3C1A, the north-eastern
boundary of the land shown on D.P. 7665, the southern
boundary of part Pukerua 2, Subdivision 2 (C.T. 370/176),
and the generally eastern boundaries of Pukerua 2, Subdivisions
2 and 3, to the south-eastern corner of the said
Subdivision 3; thence generally south-westerly along the
northern boundary of Pukerua 2, Subdivision 4, the western
boundaries of Pukerua 2, Subdivisions 4, 5, and 6, the
northern boundary of Pukerua 3C2B, and the eastern side
of No. 1 State Highway to the southern boundary of
Haukopua East Block; thence westerly along the production
of that boundary to the western side of the North
Island Main Trunk Railway, and along that side to and
along the northern side of Pukerua Road and the southern
boundary of Haukopua West Block and its production to
the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence north-easterly
along that high-water mark to the point of commencement.

SIXTH SCHEDULE

MANA Island containing 1 square mile, more or less, adjoining
Block XI, Paekakariki S.D. (S.O. 11047).

and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New
Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His
Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following
appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations,
and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy:

Commander William James Lanyon Smith, D.S.O., O.B.E.,
M.N.Z.I.S., is placed on the Retired List with effect from
2 December 1972.

The appointment of Commander G. B. W. Johnson,
M.N.Z.I.S., is reduced to 6 April 1973.

Surgeon Lieutenant Commander L. G. Moffatt, M.B.,
Ch.B., M.R.C.G.P.: with reference to the notice published in
the Gazette, 9 November 1972, No. 92, p. 2404, for the
date “8 March 1976” substitute “8 March 1977”.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) R. Goddard,
M.B.E., to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect
from 6 December 1972.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) K. I. Knight,
M.B.E., to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect
from 12 December 1972.
