Tauranga Colleges Board of Governors Notice 1973

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

(1) This notice may be cited as the Tauranga Colleges Board of Governors Notice 1973.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1973.
(3) The constitution of the Tauranga Colleges Board of Governors is hereby varied so that the Board shall, after the commencement of this notice, be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board;
(b) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Tauranga Boys College, of which members at least one shall be a man and at least one shall be a woman;
(c) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Tauranga Girls College, of whom at least one shall be a man and at least one shall be a woman;
(d) Three members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Otumoetai College, of whom at least one shall be a man and at least one shall be a woman;
(e) One member appointed by the Tauranga City Council;
(f) Two members co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.
(4) The Tauranga Colleges Board of Governors Notice 1970 is hereby revoked.

Control of Tuakau High School

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the control of Tuakau High School has been vested in the Auckland Education Board.

The Levin Secondary Schools Board of Governors (Amending) Notice 1973

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Levin Secondary Schools Board of Governors (Amending) Notice 1973.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1973.
  2. The Board of Governors for the control of Horowhenua College and Waiopehu College, formerly known as the Horowhenua College Board of Governors, shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board;
    (b) Two members elected by the members of the school committees of the Fairfield State Primary School, the Koputaroa State Primary School, the Levin State Primary School, the Levin East State Primary School, the Levin North State Primary School, the Muhunoa East State Primary School, the Ohau State Primary School, the Poroutawhao State Primary School, the Taitoko State Primary School, and the Levin West Intermediate School;
    (c) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Horowhenua College of which at least one shall be a woman;
    (d) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Waiopehu College of which at least one shall be a woman;
    (e) One member appointed by the Old Pupils' Association of Horowhenua College; and
    (f) One member to be co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.
  3. This notice revokes the Levin Secondary Schools Board of Governors Notice 1973.

Licensing Arthur James Ballantyne, of Stewart Island, to Erect and Use Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licenses Arthur James Ballantyne, of Stewart Island, subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of these regulations.
  2. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, and shall be an alternating current system.
  3. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the expiration of a period of 21 years from the date hereof or until electrical energy is available from an Electric Power Board or other source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

ELECTRIC lines commencing from the licensee's generator and proceeding in a north-westerly direction to a pole and then:
(a) In a southerly direction to a residence, thence in a south-westerly direction to a workshop.
(b) In a north-easterly direction to a boatshed erected on the foreshore of Paterson Inlet.

All being situated in Block I, Paterson Survey District, in the County of Stewart Island, as shown on the plan Marked N.Z.E.D. 877 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1973, No. 8.
  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori affairs Act 1953.
