The Traffic (Waikato County) Notice No. 2, 1973

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato County) Notice No. 2, 1973.
  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby
    declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the
    purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
  3. The Traffic (Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated
    the 8th day of December 1971, under section 52 of the
    Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Waikato County, is hereby revoked.

    SITUATED within Waikato County at Gordonton:
    Garfield Street (from Woodlands Road to Hamilton-Tauhei
    Road).
    Woodlands Road (from Hamilton-Tauhei Road to a
    point 36 chains measured north-easterly generally along

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Wallace County) Notice No. 1, 1973.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
  4. The Traffic (Wallace County) Notice 1968, dated the 24th day of May 1968*, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is hereby revoked.
    FIRST SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Wallace County at Nightcaps.
    No. 96 State Highway (Mataura-Tuatapere) (from a point 2 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Opio Road to a point 6 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Osborne Terrace).
    High Street (from a point 6 chains measured southerly generally along the said street from Evan Street to a point 18 chains measured northerly generally along High Street from No. 96 State Highway (Mataura-Tuatapere)).

Central Institute of Technology Notice 1973
PURSUANT to section 68 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Central Institute of Technology Notice 1973.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Central Institute of Technology prescribed by the Central Institute of Technology Order 1962 is hereby varied as follows:
    (1) by adding as paragraph (jj) of clause 2 the following paragraph:
    "(jj) The Director-General of Health, or a deputy appointed by him;" and
    (2) by varying paragraph 1 of clause 2 to read as follows:
    "(1) Additional members, not exceeding 5, to be co-opted by the Board to hold office at the pleasure of the Board and to represent groups in trade, industry, commerce, or the professions not otherwise represented on the Board but having an interest in a major course or courses provided by the Central Institute of Technology."

Pleasant Point High School Board of Governors Notice 1973
PURSUANT to section 54 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Pleasant Point High School Board of Governors Notice 1973.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1973.
  2. The Board of Governors of Pleasant Point High School shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Canterbury Education Board;
    (b) Six members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school;
    (c) Two members elected by the members of the school committees of the Pleasant Point State Primary School and Cannington State Primary School;
    (d) One member appointed by the Levels County Council; and
    (e) One member appointed by the Pleasant Point Ex-pupils' Association, if and when such an association is formed.
  3. The Canterbury Education Board shall cease to control Pleasant Point High School and the sole control of that school shall be vested in the Board of Governors constituted by clause 2 of this notice.
