of business in New Zealand.

ONEHUNGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the
Public Works Act 1928:

Notice is hereby given that the Onehunga Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the extension of
Brookfield Avenue in the Borough of Onehunga, and for the
purpose of such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby
further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken
is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the
said Council, situated at 87 Church Street, Onehunga, and
is open for inspection without fee by all persons during
normal office hours. All persons affected by the execution
of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who
have any objection to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections
in writing, not being an objection to the amount for payment
of compensation, and send the same within 40 days from
the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the
Council Chambers, 87 Church Street, Onehunga. If any objec-
tion is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held,
unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will
be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

Recreation Centre Loan 1972, $360,000

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Borough of Otahuhu, taken on the 3rd day of March
1973, on the proposal of the above-named Local Authority
to raise a loan of $360,000, to be known as the Recreation
Centre Loan 1972, for the purpose of constructing stage 1
of the proposed recreation centre at the corner of Fairburn
Road and Hutton Street, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ...... 175
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 848
The number of informal votes was ...... ...... ...... 9

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
