Special Conditions

Persons holding valid game shooting licences for the Waimarino Acclimatisation District may, without taking out a further game licence, shoot in the following areas that lie within the Rotorua Acclimatisation District:

(a) On the waters or from the banks of those portions of the Wanganui River and its tributaries;

(b) On the Otamangakau Lake and its watershed including the Wairehu Canal upstream of the fish screens.

In the area south of the Hairini Road bridge known as the Waimapu Estuary, no person shall hunt or kill game within 90 metres either side of mean high-water mark.
