NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and the Urban Renewal and Housing Improvement Act 1945, and their respective amendments:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely to take land in Hopper Street and Hankey Street in the City of Wellington for the purposes of Part II of the Urban Renewal and Housing Improvement Act 1945, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that any person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land should, if he has any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, send his written objection within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk to the said Council at the Municipal Offices Building, 5 Mercer Street in the City of Wellington, and notice is hereby further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid, a public hearing of that objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of that hearing and at that hearing each objector will be advised of the reason for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE

FIRST, all that parcel of land containing six and one-tenth perches (6.1 perches), more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being part of Town Section 69, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 4637, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 279, folio 295, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as number 66 Hopper Street, Wellington.

Second, all that parcel of land containing ten and four-tenths perches (10.4 perches), more or less, situate in the City of Wellington, being part of Town Section 69, being all the land in Deposited Plan No. 4813, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 275, folio 218, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as number 74 Hopper Street, Wellington.

Third, all that piece of land containing eleven and three-tenths perches (11.3 perches), more or less, bounded toward the north seventy-seven feet five inches and west forty feet by other parts of Section No. 69 towards the east forty feet by Hopper Street and towards the south seventy-six feet one inch by Hankey Street, which said land is part of Section No. 69 on the public map of the City of Wellington deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 29, folio 26, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as No. 76 Hopper Street, Wellington.

Fourth, all that parcel of land containing twenty and six one-hundredth perches (20.06 perches), more or less, situate in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 69 of the Town of Wellington being also Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 12028, and being all of the land comprised and described in the certificate of title, Volume 479, folio 106, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as No. 50 Hankey Street, Wellington.

Fifth, all that parcel of land containing eight perches and two-tenths of a perch (8.2 perches), and being part of Section 69, City of Wellington, together with a right of way over other part granted by deed dated 15 June 1882, registered as No. 43587, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 157, folio 47, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as No. 54 Hankey Street, Wellington.

Sixth, all that parcel of land containing twelve perches and seven-tenths of a perch (12.7 perches), and being part of Section 69, City of Wellington, together with a right of way over other part of the said Section and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 100, folio 211, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as No. 56 Hankey Street, Wellington.

Seventh, all that parcel of land containing twelve perches and three-tenths of a perch (12.3 perches), and being part of Section 69, City of Wellington, together with a right of way over other part of the said Section, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 100, folio 210, Wellington Land Registry; this land being known as No. 62 Hankey Street, Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Manaia Town District taken on the 1st day of December 1973 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $54,000 to be known as the Completion of Sewerage Reticulation Loan 1972, for the purpose of completing the sewerage reticulation in Manaia, resulted as follows:
