The Motor Launch (Lake Forsyth) Notice 1973—Wairewa County Council

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Forsyth) Notice 1973.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force until further notice.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water of Lake Forsyth westward of a line drawn from the easternmost point of Birdlings Flat in a 149° true direction to the opposite shore, and northward of a line drawn in a 266° true direction from Trig. B, Block VIII, Ellesmere Survey District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. At each end of the boundary lines described in the First Schedule hereto there shall be erected a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
Area where motor launches and water skiers may travel at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
BATHERS KEEP OUT”

  1. The aforesaid notice boards shall show the area described in the First Schedule in the form of a map and shall be marked “Eastern Limit of Area” and “Southern Limit of Area” as appropriate.

The Motor Launch (Lake Manapouri) Notice 1973—Fiordland National Park Board

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Manapouri) Notice 1973.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force until further notice.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the two areas described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

  1. All that area of water in Lake Manapouri within 200 yards of the edge of the water and bounded by parallel lines 100 yards apart, the southern boundary line being extended in a 310° true direction from a point on the shoreline of normal lake level, being 221 yd northward of the northern side of the Doubtful Sound Tourist Co. Ltd. slipway, as shown on plan M.D. 12195.

  2. All that area of water in Surprise Bay, Lake Manapouri, within 200 yd of the edge of the water and bounded on the sides by parallel lines 140 yd apart, the northern boundary line being extended in a 110° true direction as shown on plan M.D. 12195.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Each access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Two 8 ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between and painted with 12 in. bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited at normal lake level.

  2. On each side of the transit posts sited at normal lake level there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
BATHERS KEEP OUT”

  1. A marker buoy, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be suitably moored to mark the lake end of each side of the access lane.

Declaring Land Held for a Government Work (Permanent State Forest) and Not Now Required for That Purpose to be Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Horomanga

Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes on and after the 20th day of November 1973.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—WHAKATANE COUNTY

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

Situated in Block V, Galatea Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 27412 (S.O. 47163) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.

Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes on and after the 20th day of November 1973.

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

Situated in Block X, Belmont Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 19094 (S.O. 25433) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
