NELSON CITY COUNCIL
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and
in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council
proposes, under the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a
certain public work, namely, to provide a parking place
and for the purpose of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto, being situated off Hardy Street in
the Montgomery car park area, is required to be taken.
All persons affected by the proposal who wish to make any
objection to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount
or payment of compensation, must state their objections in
writing and send same within 40 days from the first publication
of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Trafalgar Street, Nelson. A public hearing of
any such objection will be held unless the objector otherwise
requires and each objector will be advised of the time
and place of the hearing.

ALL that parcel of land containing twenty-four decimal one
perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 1539,
and being part of Section 162 (M.R.), City of Nelson, and

CLASSIFICATION UNDER SOIL CONSERVATION AND RIVERS
CONTROL ACT 1941 OF LAND IN THE HAWKE'S BAY
CATCHMENT DISTRICT
Muddy Creek Drainage Improvement Scheme Special Rating
Area
NOTICE is hereby given that:
(a) The land in the part of the Hawke's Bay Catchment
District described in the Schedule hereto has been
classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Act 1941, and the classification is deemed
a valid classification as from the date on which
this notice is first published, namely, the 17th day
of November 1973.
(b) The proportions in which rates are to be imposed under
that Act on the several classes of land are as follows:
Class A 100
Class B 45
Class C 10
Class G Nil
(c) The classification list shows the division of properties
into classes to be rated according to a graduated
scale.
(d) The classification list may be inspected at the Board's
offices, 16 Vautier Street, Napier, during a period
of 28 days hereafter.
(e) The classification list deemed to be a special roll of
ratepayers for the purposes of the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956.
(f) Any person who is dissatisfied in respect of any matter
appearing in the classification list has the rights of
appeal provided for by section 103 of the Soil
Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, as
substituted by section 18 of the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1959, which
rights, and any other right to commence proceedings
affecting the classification, must be exercised within
49 days hereafter. Appeals will normally be made
to a Magistrate's Court, but appeals in respect of
the method of making or of the form or validity
of the classification as a whole may be made to
the Administrative Division of the Supreme Court
only.
(g) The classification has been made by Messrs P. K.
Simons and G. M. Jones.
(h) Copies of the instructions given by the Board to the
classifiers and of the resolutions of the Board relative
to the classification may be inspected at the Hawke's
Bay Catchment Board Office, 16 Vautier Street,
Napier, during the period specified in paragraph (d)
of this notice.
SCHEDULE
ALL that part of the Hawke's Bay land district of approximately
5.62 square miles and within Block II, Clive Survey
District (Hikutoto Block, part Matahiwi Block, Clive Township,
West Clive Suburban sections, West Clive Rural
Sections), and Block XVI, Heretaunga Survey District (part
Mangateretere West, part Mangateretere East).

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the rate-
payers of the Borough of Cromwell taken on 10 November
1973 on the proposal of the above-named local authority
to raise a loan of $105,000 to be known as the Centennial
Lido Pool Complex Loan 1973 for the purpose of constructing
the Centennial Lido Pool Complex resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .... 187
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was ... 210
The number of informal votes was ....... 4
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting
between Victor Eric Reginald Keating and Robert Noel
Torrie, carrying on the business of general carriers in Auckland
under the firm name or style of Keating and Torrie,
has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day
of October 1970.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 13th day
of November 1973, cancelled the Registry of Court Loyal
Enterprise No. 5501, Register No. 144/11, with registered
office at Masterton, a branch of the Wellington District of
the Ancient Order of Foresters, on the ground that the
said branch has ceased to exist.
