Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work (Railway
Purposes) at Arthurton and Not Now Required for That
Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described
in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the
Land Act 1948, as from the 19th day of November 1973.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant
Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated
to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance,
hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities

WHEREAS by virtue of the notices referred to in the
Schedule hereto the land described in those notices was
declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of
the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas the appellations
of the land have been changed as a result of survey; and
whereas it is considered necessary to replace the notices
aforesaid;

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori
Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives
notice as follows.

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development

2. The notices referred to in the Schedule hereto
   are hereby revoked being replaced, to the extent necessary,
