Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Sec-
retary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the
Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby
consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned
in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the res-
pective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Land Surveyors' Examination, February-March 1973, New
Zealand
It is herby notified for general information that the New
Zealand Survey Board will conduct an examination in Laws
and Regulations Affecting Surveys for the registration of
surveyors commencing at 9 a.m. on Friday, 2 February 1973.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper
form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than
Tuesday, 2 January 1973, and that the examination fee must
be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom appli-
cation forms and other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates presenting themselves for examination in any
written subject may present themselves for examination at
any Chief Surveyor's office, or at the office of the District
Surveyor at Rotorua or Whangarei, or as otherwise directed.
The oral and practical portion of the examination com-
mences at 8.45 a.m., on Monday, 26 March 1973, and all
candidates must sit in Wellington. Applications, on the
proper forms, must reach the Secretary of the Board not
later than 26 February 1972.
Certificates of practical experience, and a list of surveys
carried out during the period of practical work, must reach
the Secretary by 26 February 1973. Plans and all other
evidence required by regulation 24 of the Survey Examination
Regulations 1962, together with the results of stellar observa-
tions and computations, must be received by the Secretary
not later than Monday, 19 March 1973.
The fees for examination are as follows:
