Cancellation of a Licence to Use Water Power

Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity, with the consent of the licensee, hereby cancels a licence dated 6 February 1957 authorising Joseph Robert Todhunter, of Lake Heron, Ashburton No. 2 R.D., Rakaia, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, (Gazette, No. 11, p. 211), the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to Duncan Leonard Ensor, of Mount Hutt, sheep farmer, Russell D’Renzy Mitchell, of Christchurch, public accountant, and Rose Eveline Todhunter, of Mount Hutt, married woman, under an Order in Council dated 31 August 1960 (Gazette, No. 56, p. 1307).

The Road Classification (Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1972

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notices.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1972.

  2. The Waikato County Council's proposed classification of the road as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 1st day of June 1950† as relates to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

Road Classified in Class Two

CROSBY Road (from the Hamilton City Boundary to the junction with Hamilton-Tauhei Road).

Acquisition of Land as Part of the Manaia Ridge Scenic Reserve

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a scenic reserve, subject to provisions of Part IV of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, as an addition to the Manaia Ridge Scenic Reserve to be administered as a scenic reserve by the Northland Harbour Board.

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of Ngati Makino and the Maori people of the district.
