The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendment to New Zealand
Standard Specification Available for Comment
Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
amendment is being circulated:

DZ 1900.7/306 Draft amendment to NZS 1900: — Model
building bylaw—Chapter 7: 1964, Small chimneys and
appliance installation.
NOTE—Amendment B to NZS 196 permits the use of
appropriate metric-dimension sieves to BS 410: 1969 or of
imperial-dimension sieves to suitable U.S. specifications.
When issued, this amendment to NZS 1900, Chapter 7
will remove specific reference to NZS 196, and will specify
the acceptable metric alternative to the specified sieve size.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and
who desire to comment thereon, may, upon application, obtain
copies on loan from the Standards Association of New Zea-
land, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private
Bag), Wellington 1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 30 November
1972.

Decisions in Interpretation of the Sales Tax Act, notified
in the New Zealand Gazette of 30 April 1970, No. 25, are
amended as follows:
Minister’s Decision 1.E (f) is cancelled and replaced by

(f) (i) The building and fitting of bodies to commercial
