Pursuant to the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.

ORDER

1. (1) This order may be cited as the Taranaki Agricultural
   Society Authorisation Amendment Order 1972 and shall be
   read together with and deemed part of the Taranaki Agricul-
   tural and Pastoral Society Authorisation Order 1972 (here-
   inafter referred to as the “principal order”).

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette.

2. The principal order may be cited as the “Taranaki Agri-
   cultural Society Order 1972”.

3. Subclause 2 of the principal order is hereby amended by
   omitting the words “and Pastoral”.

Pursuant to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

1. (1) This order may be cited as the Union of Five Rivers
   and Longridge Pest Destruction Order 1972.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of
October 1972.

2. The boundaries of the Five Rivers Pest Destruction
   District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the
   10th day of March 1958*) and the Longridge Pest Destruction
   District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the
   14th day of August 1957†) are hereby declared united to form
   one district, the boundaries of which shall be those specified
   in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby further declared that
   the basis on which the Board for the said district shall first
   levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied
   by the rate payer.
