Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road in Blocks I, V, and VI, Haparapara Survey District, Opotiki County

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for road. And notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post office at Opotiki and are open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, should set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The land is situated on the Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa State Highway No. 35 and is required for the realignment of the road in the Omaio Bay vicinity, approximately 7 miles west of Te Kaha.
