Consent to the Generation of Electricity by William Harry Paterson by the Use of Water
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby consents to the generation of electricity by William Harry Paterson, of Titirangi, Havelock, farmer, by the use of water, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS
-
The conditions directed by the Water Power Regulations 1934 to be implied in every licence to use water for the purpose of generating or storing electricity shall be deemed to be conditions of this consent as if it were such a licence.

This consent is subject to compliance with the Water Power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations hereafter made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations, as if in the case of the Water Power Regulations 1934 it were a licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to use water for the purpose of generating electricity as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate electricity by the use of water.

The generation of electricity by the use of water pursuant to this consent shall be carried out by means of the works described in the Schedule hereto.

This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1977 or until electricity is available from an electrical supply authority, whichever is the earlier.

This consent confers no rights to water under the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967 or otherwise.

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 8 kW.
SCHEDULE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake and pipeline, leading to the powerhouse giving a static head of approximately 245 ft.
(b) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 1, Block IX, Gore Survey District.
(c) Tailrace leading from the powerhouse to an unnamed stream.
As shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 850 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Boundaries of County of Waikohu and the Karaka and Ngatapa Ridings of Waikohu County Defined
PURSUANT to section 16 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the County of Waikohu and the Karaka and Ngatapa Ridings of Waikohu County; the boundaries having previously been altered by Order in Council made on 26 March 1962, published in Gazette, 29 March 1962, No. 20, p. 508; on 17 November 1964, published in Gazette, 19 November 1964, No. 73, p. 2182.

BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF WAIKOHU
ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the Pouarua Stream and Waipaoa River, being a point on the boundary of the Cook County in Block VIII, Waimata Survey District, as hereinbefore-described, and proceeding westerly generally up the middle of that stream to the middle of Ngatapa-Pouarua Road, along the middle of that road and the middle of a public road approximately paralleling Pouarua Stream, to and again along Ngatapa-Pouarua Road to the middle of the Te Puni Stream, down the middle of that stream approximately 60 links, to and up the middle of Parekanapa Stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of part Tangihanga 1A, to and along that boundary, the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said 1A, the south-western boundary of Part Pukepapa B, along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of part Lot 2, D.P. 1562, the south-western boundaries of part Lot 2 and Part Lot 1, D.P. 3748, to the easternmost corner of part Section 1, Block VI, Waikohu Survey District, along the eastern boundary of part Section 1, the northern boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 2272, and the production of that boundary to the middle of the Totangi Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the aforementioned Lot 10, to and along that boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, Block X, Waikohu Survey District, the north-eastern, eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 5, Block X, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Wharekopae Road, westerly along the middle of that road, to and up the middle of the Wharekopae River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 1128, to and along that boundary (crossing Tangihau-Waimaha Road), the south-western boundary of the aforementioned part Lot 2 (crossing the Tangihau-Waimaha Road), along the south-western boundary of Section 2, Block X, Ngatapa Survey District, the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Section 2, Block XIV, Ngatapa Survey District, the southern boundaries of Sections 1 and 3, Block XIII, Ngatapa Survey District, the south-western boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 1505, and the production of that boundary to the middle of Mutuera Road, along the middle of that road and the middle of Tangihau-Waimaha Road to the middle of the Hangaroa River, up the middle of that river and the middle of the Kiwhara Stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Subdivision 2 of Tahoma 2C1, to and along that boundary and the south-western boundary of the said 2 of 2C1, along the eastern boundary of Subdivision 1 of Tahoma 2F (crossing a public road and crossing the Ruakituri River three times) to its intersection with a right line between Trig. Station 2126, Maungapohatu, in Block XII, Ruatahuna Survey District, and Trig. Station Puketapu, in Block VII, Tuahu Survey District, along that right line to Trig. Station 2126, Maungapohatu, being a point on the south-eastern watershed of the Tauranga and Waimana Rivers; thence north-easterly generally along that watershed to Trig. Station C, Te Wana, in Block VI, Koranga Survey District, along the western boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Koranga Survey District, Subdivision 1 of Tahoma 2C3, the western boundaries of Block I, Koranga Survey District, and Block XIII, Moanui Survey
