MANUKAU CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and its amendments, and of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments:

Notice is hereby given that the Manukau City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of the public street named Massey Road; and for that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the Manukau City Council at Hill Road, Manurewa, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during the ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land is called upon to set forth in writing any objections he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection as to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Manukau City Council, Private Bag, Manurewa.

If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing. At the hearing of any objection the objector shall be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land situated in Block IX, Otahuhu Survey District, City of Manukau, North Auckland R.D., described as follows:

SPECIAL ORDER
THE Auckland Regional Authority, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 42, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it on that behalf, doth hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to raise the sum of two million dollars ($2,000,000) as a special loan, to be known as Bulk Water Supply Loan No. 31, 1971, $12,000,000—Second Issue $2,000,000, for the purposes of and incidental to the development of the Auckland Bulk Water Supply Scheme as a whole.

The foregoing special order was passed at a meeting of the Auckland Regional Authority held on 19 June 1972 and confirmed at a meeting of the said Authority held on 17 July 1972, having meantime been advertised in the Auckland Star on 24 June and 5 July 1972.
