Pursuant to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:

Appointments

Squadron Leader J. A. Scrimshaw, M.B.E., A.F.C., to be acting Wing Commander with effect from 26 June 1971 and temp. Wing Commander with effect from 6 July 1972.

Flight Lieutenant R. L. Ewing to be temp. Squadron Leader with effect from 29 May 1972.

Flight Lieutenant A. T. King is appointed to a career commission to expire on 23 June 1986.

Squadron Leader Peter Kennedy Simpson is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 27 February 1976, with effect from 28 February 1972.

Transfer to Retired List

Squadron Leader Alexander John Brown is transferred to the Retired List 'A' with effect from 5 April 1972.

Resignation of Commission

Flight Lieutenant Riley Charles Bell resigns his commission with effect from 19 April 1972.
