Appointment of Customs Examining Place in New Zealand
PURSUANT to powers delegated to me by the Comptroller of
Customs under section 9 of the Customs Act 1966, and
pursuant to section 32 of the Customs Act 1966, I, John

Appointment and Revocation of Temporary Customs Examining Places in New Zealand
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Customs Act 1966, I, Jack Alexander McLeod Kean, Comptroller of Customs, hereby appoint the place described in the First Schedule hereto to be a temporary examining place for the examination by the Customs of goods subject to control of Customs, and hereby revoke the appointment* of the place described in the Second Schedule hereto as a temporary examining place for the purpose of that Act.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Notice Amending the Quality Standards and Grades for Eggs (No. 292 Ag. 20210)
PURSUANT to regulation 59 of the Egg Marketing Authority Regulations 1953, the Egg Marketing Authority hereby gives notice that, as from 1 July 1972, the Notice Fixing and Determining the Quality Standards and Grades for Eggs (Ag. 10746), dated 12 January 1971*, shall be amended as follows:
(a) In each of the subparagraphs (2), (3), and (4) of clause 4 (c) the expression “45° and 60°F” is revoked and the expression “7° and 16°Celsius” substituted therefor.
(b) In clause 5 (a), the following new subparagraph (4) is inserted after subparagraph (3):
“(4) Shall be applied only to eggs which, before being graded, shall have been placed, as soon as practicable after having been laid, in cool rooms approved by the Authority on the farms where the eggs were laid, and held continuously thereafter in such cool rooms at a temperature of not less than 13°Celsius and not more than 16°Celsius until forwarded to the Authority’s authorised agents to be graded, provided that no such eggs shall be held on the farm where they were produced for a period exceeding five days after the day on which they were laid.”

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated:

DZ 8771/285 Size designations and body measurements for the sizing of ready-to-wear apparel for babies and infants aged 3 months to 5 years. (Superseding NZS 1983.)
All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, upon application, obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington 1. Additional copies are obtainable at 50c a copy from the same address.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 31 July 1972.
