Area of Waipara County, and incidental expenses in connection therewith, the said Waipara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.00353c in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Waipara County and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loan Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Waimate West County Council taken on 29th May 1972 on the proposal of the Waimate West County Council to borrow the sum of $964,400 for the purpose of providing a piped and treated water supply throughout the County resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 586
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 554
The number of informal votes was 5

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
