ment Act 1959 and all other powers enabling it in that behalf,
the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of
special order, that instead of levying the special rates specified
in the Schedule hereto, to make a uniform consolidated special
rate of 1.2325c in the dollar on all rateable property within
the Borough of Mount Roskill, and the same is hereby
made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying
the annual charges plus 10 percent thereof, payable in respect
of the loans secured by those special rates.

And the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby further
resolves that the consolidated special rate shall be payable
in one sum on the 1st day of April in each year at the Council
Chambers, corner Three Kings and Mount Albert Roads,
Mount Roskill, to Frank Charles Clarkson, or at such other
place, or to such other person for the time being authorised
by Council.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

THE KIRKPATRICK MASONIC INSTITUTE BILL 1972

THE Board of Governors of the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute
hereby gives notice that it intends to apply for leave to bring
in the above-mentioned Private Bill during the forthcoming
session of Parliament.

The objects of the Bill are to establish and incorporate a
Board of Governors for the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute
established at Nelson under the will of Samuel Kirkpatrick
of Nelson, deceased, presently known as Kirkpatrick House;
to make provision for the membership thereof; to provide for
the vesting in the Board of the land and other assets applicable to the purposes of the Institute, and for other purposes
connected therewith; to extend and vary the scope of the
charitable funds created by the said will relating to the
said Institute; and to broaden the powers of the trustee thereunder; and to consolidate and repeal the provisions of the
Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute Empowering Act 1930. The Bill
is promoted by the Board of Governors of the Kirkpatrick
Masonic Institute.

Communications or notices to the promoters may be sent
to Messrs Luckie, Hain, Kennard, and Sclater, 29 Brandon
Street, Wellington (P.O. Box 204). A copy of the Bill may
be inspected at the offices of Messrs Luckie, Hain, Kennard,
and Sclater at the address stated, during normal working hours
on any weekday other than Saturday.

THOMAS GEORGE MACARTHY TRUST AMENDMENT ACT 1972

NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee of New Zealand
proposes to apply for leave to bring into the General Assembly
of New Zealand in Parliament assembled during the coming session commencing on 8 June 1972 a Private Bill, the objects of
which are to redesignate the special “Buildings Replacement
Fund”, established under section 3 of the Thomas George
Macarthy Trust Act 1936, as the “Buildings Redevelopment and
Replacement Fund”; and to substitute a new section for section
4 of the 1936 Act so as to allow moneys from time to time
standing in the special Buildings Redevelopment and Replacement Fund to be applied in the replacement or redevelopment
of estate buildings, or in or towards the purchase of land adjoining or adjacent to estate buildings necessary or desirable for
the adequate and economic replacement or redevelopment of
estate buildings, or in effecting improvements to estate buildings
as cannot properly be charged to income.

The promoter of the Private Bill is the Public Trustee of
New Zealand.

and a copy of the Bill may be inspected at, the office of the
Public Trustee, 131–135 Lambton Quay, Wellington.
