Plant Declared a Noxious Weed Under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Waitomo (No. 263 Ag. 10649A)
PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture
under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following Special Order, made by the Waitomo County Council on the 13th day of April 1972, is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
"That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the plants referred to in the schedule hereto be declared as noxious weeds within the District of the County of Waitomo.

PURSUANT to the Exchange Control Regulations 1965, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- (a) This notice may be cited as the Controlled (Non-Resident) Accounts Notice (No. 2) 1971, Amendment No. 9, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Controlled (Non-Resident) Accounts Notice (No. 2) 1971* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(b) This notice shall come into force on the 2nd day of May 1972. - The Third Schedule of the principal notice is hereby amended by inserting the following name:

Bylaw Prohibiting Stopping Motor Vehicles on No. 73 State Highway Between Porters Pass and Lake Lyndon Junction at Certain Times
PURSUANT to section 13 of the National Roads Act 1953 and section 72 of the Transport Act 1962, the National Roads Board hereby makes the following bylaw: - This bylaw may be cited as National Roads Board bylaw 1972, No. 2.
- This bylaw shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- The board may from time to time when in the opinion of the board it is expedient to do so, having regard to actual or likely traffic congestion or to actual or likely inconvenience to the passage of traffic, erect or cause to be erected signs prohibiting the stopping of vehicles on the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, and no person shall then stop any vehicle on the said portion of road.
- Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $100.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road being the length of State Highway No. 73 (Christchurch-Kumara) stretching from the summit of Porters Pass (route mileage 50.55) generally westwards to
a point three-quarters of a mile beyond the junction of State Highway No. 73 with the Lake Lyndon-Lake Coleridge Road (route mileage 52.70).
This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 19th day of April 1972.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 272—Inquiry Into Import Duties and Import Licensing Provisions Affecting Diamond Segmental Circular and Straight-edged Saws and Segments Therefor (Tariff Item 68.04.000)—Public Hearing - In its Report No. 87 of 19 June 1969, to the Minister of Customs, the Tariff and Development Board recommended inter alia, that the question of protection on diamond segmental saws and segments therefor, falling within Tariff item 68.04.000, be further reviewed within the next 2 years. This recommendation was accepted by Government but in May 1971, at the request of one of the principal parties to the inquiry, the Board, with the agreement of the Minister, deferred the review until the present time.
- Accordingly, the Board will now conduct a public hearing into the question of import duties and import licensing affecting diamond segmental circular and straight-edged saws and segments therefor, of Tariff item 68.04.000, in the Hearing Room, Eighth Floor, Cumberland House, Upper Willis Street, Wellington, on Thursday, 3 August 1972, commencing at 10.30 a.m.
- Any person who intends to tender evidence should lodge, in typewritten form, 14 copies of public evidence and 12 copies of confidential evidence, to be presented under oath at the public hearing, at the Board's office no later than Friday, 21 July 1972. In preparing this evidence the "Notes for Information and Guidance of Interested Parties" prepared by the Board may be of assistance. Copies of these notes may be obtained from the Board's office.
