PURSUANT to section 254 (2) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated 1 August 1932 and published in Gazette, 4 August 1932, No. 52, page 1772, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Conferring Jurisdiction on the Maori Land Court

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers upon the Maori Land Court jurisdiction to determine what increase (if any) should be made to the consideration agreed on by the parties to a lease, confirmed in the Maori Land Court on 19 November 1965, to Thomas George, of certain undivided freehold interests in the Ohau 3, Section 10F2 Block, for the purchase of these interests by the lessee, pursuant to a right set out in the lease.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto together with and subject as to part to drainage rights created by transfer No. 136876, Wellington Land Registry, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

Exempting Land in the Otago Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—BOROUGH OF KAITANGATA
FIRSTLY, Section 16, Block XII, Town of Kaitangata: area, 1 rood, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 261, folio 142 (S.O. Plan 14456).
Secondly, Lot 1, D.P. 8544, being part Section 14, Block XII, Town of Kaitangata: area, 8.73 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 385, folio 249.
Save and excepting to Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals or metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons legally entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals, a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
