PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Works hereby revokes the declaration dated the 19th day of
October 1970, published in the Gazette of 5 November 1970,
Volume III, p. 2000, and registered in the Land Registry Office
at Wellington as No. 849894, declaring land taken for better
utilisation in the City of Wanganui, and hereby declares that,
a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into,
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for better utilisation from and after the 8th day of May
1972.

Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in Block XIV, Mid

PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, the Minister of Works hereby:

(a) Authorises the application of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, held primarily for the development
of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme: Lake
Hawea Control) to recreation purposes, which shall
be a secondary use of the said land; and

(b) Specifies that Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act
1953 shall apply to the said land.
