along the eastern boundary of the said part Section 3 and its
production to the middle of the Mangaowata Stream; thence
generally north-easterly up the middle of that stream to a
point in line with the western boundary of part Section 2,
Block XII, aforesaid; thence northerly to and along that
boundary to and north-easterly along its north-western
boundary to the south-western boundary of Section 5, Block
V, Pouatu Survey District; thence south-easterly along that
boundary to and generally north-easterly along the south-
eastern boundaries of the said Section 5, and Sections 6 and
7, Block V, aforesaid, to the southern side of the Makino
North Road; thence along a right line across that road and
across Section 8, Block V, aforesaid, to the southernmost
corner of Section 8, Block I, Pouatu Survey District; thence
northerly and north-westerly along the eastern and north-
eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned section to the south
side of Moki Road; thence along a right line across Moki
Road to the south-western corner of Section 4, Block I, Pouatu
Survey District; thence generally northerly along the western
boundaries of the said Section 4 and Section 2, Block XIII,
Waro Survey District, to and along a right line across Crown
land intersecting the said Section 2 to and again northerly
along the western boundary of that section to the southern
side of Rerekapa Road; thence along a right line across that
road to and north-easterly along the north-western boundary
of Section 9, Block XIII, aforesaid, to that section's northern-
most corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundaries of the said Section 9 and Section 10, Block XIII,
aforesaid, to and easterly along the northern boundaries of
the last-mentioned section and parts Section 5, Block XIV,
Waro Survey District, to the western side of Okau Road;
thence by right line to and easterly generally along the
northern boundary of Section 8, Block XIV, aforesaid, to the
northern side of Mount Damper Road; thence easterly and
northerly generally along the northern and western sides of that
road to the northern boundary of Block XV, Waro Survey
District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Blocks
XV and XVI to the confiscation line; thence south-westerly
along that line to the eastern boundary of Block XV, Waro
Survey District; thence due south along that boundary and
its production to the south-eastern boundary of part Section 9,
Block VII, Pouatu Survey District; thence south-westerly along
that boundary and its production to the middle of the
Tangarakau River and thence down the middle of that river
to where it is intersected by south-western boundary of
Maraekowhai A5H; thence south-easterly along that boundary
and its production to and along the south-western boundary
of Maraekowhai A5E and its production to and along the
south-western boundary of Maraekowhai A5C1 to and along
the south-western boundaries of Maraekowhai A5F and A3B1
and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of
the Wanganui River; thence south-westerly generally down the
middle of that river to its southernmost intersection with a
right line between Trig. Station Whakaihuwaka on Mount
Humphries and the confluence of the Wanganui and Tanga-
rakau Rivers; thence south-westerly along that right line
to Trig. Station Whakaihuwaka aforesaid; thence north-westerly
along the south-western boundary of Pahautuhia Block to the
north-eastern corner of Section 19, Block XIII, Mahoe Survey
District; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 19
and 20, Block XIII, Mahoe Survey District, to and along the
southern boundary of Section 21, Block XVI, Ngatimaru
Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Block IV, Omoana
Survey District; thence southerly and westerly generally along
the eastern and southern boundaries of the aforesaid Block IV,
and the southern boundaries of Blocks III and II, Omoana
Survey District, to the southernmost corner of part Section 10,
Block II, aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally along the
south-western boundary of that section and its production to
the middle of the Mangaehu Stream; thence generally north-
westerly down the middle of that stream to its confluence with
the Mangaotuku Stream and thence up the middle of that
stream to its intersection with the southern boundary of
Section 3S, Tututawa Settlement, in Block XIV, Ngatimaru
Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary to the
north-western side of Mangaotuku Road; thence south-westerly
along that side to and north-westerly generally along the north-
eastern side of Mangaotuku Road and its production to the
northern side of Ohura Road; thence westerly generally along
that side to and crossing Walters Road along a right line to
and south-westerly generally along the north-western side of
Ohura Road to the eastern side of Douglas Road; thence
northerly up the eastern side of Douglas Road to Makuri
Road and along a right line across that road to and again
northerly along the eastern side of Douglas Road to the
southern side of Kiore Road; thence along a right line across
Kiore Road to and north-westerly generally along the gener-
ally north-eastern side of Douglas Road and its production
across Tunupo Road to the middle of the Waitara River; thence

Constitution of the West Coast Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 27th day of
March 1972
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electricity Distribution Commission Act
1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. Interpretation—In this order, unless the context other-
    wise requires,—
    “Appointed day” means 1 April 1972.
    “The Board” means the West Coast Electric Power
    Board constituted under clause 3 of this order.
    “Original boards” means the Grey Electric Power Board,
    the Westland Electric Power Board, and the Amethyst
    Electric Power Board, as constituted on the appointed
    day.
    “Original districts” means the districts of the original
    boards.
  2. Constitution of West Coast Electric Power District—
    The original districts are hereby united and together extended
    to form the West Coast Electric Power District as defined
    in the First Schedule hereto.
  3. Constitution of West Coast Electric Power Board—
    The West Coast Electric Power Board is hereby constituted
    for the purpose of administering the supply of electricity
    in the West Coast Electric Power District, and is hereby
    deemed to be a board constituted under the Electric Power
    Boards Act 1925.
  4. Original Boards Dissolved—(a) The original boards are
    hereby dissolved.
    (b) All assets, liabilities, credits, debts, and choses in
    action of the original boards, including all unpaid rates
    levied by the original boards and the benefit of or liability
    of or for any legal proceedings by or against the original
    boards, shall become the assets and liabilities of the Board
    on the appointed day, and the Board shall have the full
    right and privilege to get in all such assets and liabilities
    and to sue for and recover all such debts and other matters
    and things as the original boards would have been entitled
    to do but for this order.
    (c) The assets and liabilities of the original boards shall
    be shown in the Board’s accounts at the values shown in
    the current audited statements of accounts of the original
    boards.
  5. Representation—(a) On and after the appointed day
    each group of constituent districts which is bracketed together
    in the first column of the Second Schedule hereto shall
    be a combined district for the purposes of the Electric
    Power Boards Act 1925.
    (b) The local authority of the constituent district
    distinguished in the first column of the Second Schedule
    hereto by the letter “P” shall be the principal local authority
    of the combined district of which that constituent district
    forms part.
