THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said land, should, if they have any objections to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not
being objections to the amount or payment of compensation,
set forth the same in writing and send the written objection,
within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is
made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the
objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires
and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the
Minister of Works hereby proclaims as road the land described
in the First Schedule hereto; also hereby proclaims that the
road described in the Second Schedule is hereby closed and
declares that the road first and thirdly described in the said
Second Schedule shall, when so closed, vest in C. T. Kern
Ltd., a duly registered company having its registered office
at Pukekohe, subject to memorandum of mortgage 489961;
also declares that the road secondly described in the said
Second Schedule hereto shall, when so closed, vest in Brian
Francis Dooney, of Pukekohe, farmer, subject to memoranda
of mortgage A. 89519 and A. 103261, North Auckland Land
Registry.

Nigel Featherston, of Nuhaka, sheepfarmer (two-fifths share),
Christine Mary Johnston, of Hexham, England, widow (one-
fifth share), Caroline Margaret Featherston Blundell, of Wel-
ington, widow (one-fifth share), and the said Caroline
Margaret Featherston Blundell and Richard Spence Volkman
Simpson, of Wellington, solicitor, as executors in the estate of
Peter Guy Featherston Johnston, deceased (one-fifth share),
as tenants-in-common in the said shares set out subject to
memorandum of mortgage No. 261725, Hawke’s Bay Land
