Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying that the Land Shall Vest in the Heathcote County Council in Fee Simple and How the Value Thereof Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto and further declares that the said land shall vest in the Heathcote County Council, in fee simple, provided that a sum equal to the current market value of the said land is paid by the Council into its reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.

Declaration by the Minister of Labour

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Seamen’s Union Funds Act 1971, I, David Spence Thomson, the Minister of Labour, being satisfied that a new union of workers representing seamen (other than officers) employed in the deck department or engineroom department of New Zealand ships (including New Zealand Government ships) has been registered under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954 on the 7th day of February 1972, hereby declare:

(a) That the new union has been registered under the name of “The New Zealand Seamen’s Union Industrial Union of Workers”, and

(b) That on the 9th day of March 1972, the assets of the organisation known on the 4th day of November 1971 as the New Zealand Seamen’s Industrial Union of Workers, and now vested in the Public Trustee, shall vest in the New Zealand Seamen’s Union Industrial Union of Workers, pursuant to subsection (2) of the said section 7 of the Seamen’s Union Funds Act 1971.
