The Traffic (Thames County) Notice No. 2, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Thames County) Notice No. 2, 1972.

2. The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality, for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon, at any time during the period commencing with the Thursday before Labour Day in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Thames County at Paku Peninsula:

ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the shore line of the Tairua Harbour adjacent to the northern end of the Esplanade; thence north-easterly generally by a right line to the western side of the intersection of Paku Drive and the Esplanade; thence northerly generally across Paku Drive to a point on the western end of Margret Wells Avenue; thence due north by a right line to the shore line of the Pacific Ocean; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly generally along the shore line of the Pacific Ocean and the Tairua Harbour to the commencing point.

Declaring Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Sockburn

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes; and also that this declaration takes effect on and from the 28th day of February 1972.

Railway for and after the 28th day of February 1972.

Amending Notice Declaring Railway Land at Westport Set Apart for Harbour Works

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for harbour works subject to the Harbours Act 1950, from and after the 6th day of December 1971, and the notice dated the 24th day of November 1971, and published in N.Z. Gazette, 2 December 1971, No. 95, p. 2685, is hereby revoked.
