A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie
Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road
Tunnel and shall vest in the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road
Tunnel Authority as from the date hereinafter mentioned, and
I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect from and
after the 28th day of February 1972.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 4.8 perches situated in the
Borough of Lyttelton, being part Town Section 302; as the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
M.O.W. 25866 (S.O. 10875) deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment
Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R
  1. This order may be cited as the New Zealand Foundation
    for the Blind Order 1972.
  2. The New Zealand Foundation for the Blind, an organisa-
    tion approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of
    the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is
    hereby granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop
    at 545 Parnell Road, Parnell, Auckland, from:
    (a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agree-
    ment which would otherwise be applicable in respect
    of persons employed in that workshop; and
    (b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the
    provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the
    Minimum Wage Act 1945.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
orders and declares that the land and portions of public high-
way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the
date of this Order in Council, be a motorway.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that land and those portions of public highway situated
in the Borough of Kaiapoi and Blocks XV and XI, Rangiora
Survey District, Rangiora and Eyre Counties, being part of
the Christchurch Northern Motorway (Belfast-Pinehaven
Section) commencing at a point approximately five chains
south of Neeves Road, marked “A” on the plan hereinafter
mentioned, and proceeding thence in a generally northerly
direction for a distance of 294 chains passing under the Ohoka
Road Deviation by means of an underpass, crossing over
Adderley Terrace, the South Island Main Trunk Railway Line,
and the Kaiapoi River by means of the Kaiapoi Road-Rail-
River Bridge, and passing under the Lineside Road - Smith
Street Link Road by means of an underpass and passing over
the Cam River by means of a bridge and terminating at the
point marked “C” on the said plan, being a point some 3 miles
54 chains from the point of commencement; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W.
25921 (C.R. 94/5) deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
