MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Melrose Road Flats Loan No. 2, 1971β$130,000
RESOLVED that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested
in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing interest and annual
charges on a loan of one hundred and thirty thousand dollars
($130,000), authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of purchasing land and erecting flats for public rental,
the said Mount Roskill Borough Council makes a special rate
of decimal nought two seven five (.0275) of a cent in the
dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount
Roskill, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the said loan and be paid yearly
on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a meeting of Council held on the 1st day of
February 1972.

HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1971β$950,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of nine hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($950,000)
authorised to be raised by the Hawke's Bay Electric Power
Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
further reticulating its district, excluding the Borough of
Napier as constituted on the 6th day of July 1925, the said
Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special
rate of .033 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within
its district, excluding the Borough of Napier as constituted on
the 6th day of July 1925, and that the special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan; and
be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 12
years or until the loan is fully paid off.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Ruawai Fire Brigade Loan 1971, $13,500
Resolved: Councillors Tantrum-Biggar
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and
its amendments, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves
as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan
of $13,500, authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
financing a fire appliance for the Ruawai Volunteer Fire
Brigade, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal seven eight nine (.789) cents in the
dollar upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable
property in the County Town of Ruawai, and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the loan, and be payable in each and every year on the 1st
day of April during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at
a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on the 25th
day of January 1972.

THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1971, $90,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Poverty
Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of ninety thousand dollars ($90,000),
authorised to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric Power
Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of a
portion ($200,000) of the Extensions Loan 1961, of $490,000,
the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies
a special rate of decimal nought nought six two (.0062) of a
cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property in that portion of the
Poverty Bay Electric Power Board District as is contained in
the Cook County (including the Patutahi Town District),
Waikohu County, Waiapu County, and the City of Gisborne,
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
I, Louis Seager Carpenter, Chairman of the North Canterbury
Electric Power Board, do hereby certify that the following
resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Canterbury
Electric Power Board held in Rangiora on the 25th day of
January 1972:
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and by all
other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric
Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $30,000, authorised to be raised by the North Canterbury
Electric Power Board under the provisions of the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925 and the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, for the purpose of redeeming the balance owing in
respect to Issue No. 1 of $50,000 of the North Canterbury
Electric Power Board Electrical Reticulation Loan 1961, the
North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special
rate of one-one hundred and ninety-sixth of a cent (1/196c) in
the dollar ($) on the rateable capital value of all rateable
property in the North Canterbury Electric Power District, such
special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the said loan; and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of March in each and every year during the currency of the
said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off."

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies
has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909,
by writing under his hand dated this 31st day of January 1972,
cancelled the registry of St. Patrick's Branch No. 95, a branch
of the New Zealand District of the Hibernian-Australasian
Catholic Benefit Society, Register No. 198/11, held at Wellington,
on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
