Declaring Land and an Easement Over Land Taken for Broadcasting Purposes (Television Transmitter Station)

Situated in Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District and Block XI, Belmont Survey District, Partly in Hutt County and Partly in the City of Wellington

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928 and section 15 of the Broadcasting Corporation Act 1961, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for broadcasting purposes (television transmitter station) and shall vest in the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation from and after the 14th day of February 1972, and an easement for right of way over the land described in the Second Schedule is hereby taken for broadcasting purposes from and after the 14th day of February 1972, vesting in the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation the full and free uninterrupted, and unrestricted right, liberty, and licence to lay, construct, maintain, and repair a roadway and to keep open the said roadway along and with the full, free, uninterrupted, and unrestricted right, liberty, and privilege in perpetuity for the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, its servants, tenants, agents, and workmen, licensees, and invitees in common with the registered proprietors, their tenants, and any other person lawfully entitled so to do from time to time and at all times by day and by night to go, pass, and repass with or without horses and domestic animals of any kind or with or without carriages, vehicles, motor vehicles, machinery, and implements of any kind over and along the land described in the Second Schedule hereto to the intent that such easement shall be forever appurtenant to the land described in the First Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the sewer pipeline easement created by transfer No. 754644, Canterbury Land Registry, over part of the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for a special school from and after the 14th day of February 1972.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby (a) declares, that a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for soil conservation and river control purposes from and after the 14th day of February 1972; and (b) further declares the land described in the said Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, from and after the 14th day of February 1972.
