  1. Exemption is hereby granted to the Intellectually Handi-
    capped Children’s Society (Incorporated) Tauranga Branch,
    an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under
    section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act
    1960, in respect of the sheltered workshop at 232 Levers Road,
    Tauranga, from:
    (a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agree-
    ment which would otherwise be applicable in respect
    of persons employed in that workshop; and
    (b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the pro-
    visions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the
    Minimum Wage Act 1945.

  2. The Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society
    (Incorporated) Tauranga Branch Order 1965* is hereby
    revoked.

PURSUANT to the Hydatids Act 1968, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


O R D E R

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the South Auckland
    Hydatids Control District Order 1972.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The areas comprising the Boroughs of Howick and Otahuhu
    and the Cities of Manukau and Papatoetoe as from time to
    time constituted are hereby declared a hydatids control district
    to be called the South Auckland Hydatids Control District.

  3. The South Auckland Hydatids Control Committee, an
    approved organisation under section 24 of the Hydatids Act
    1968, is hereby appointed the Hydatids Control Authority for
    the South Auckland Hydatids Control District.

Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


O R D E R

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Bruce-Taieri Hydatids
    Control District Order 1972.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The areas comprising the Counties of Bruce and Taieri
    and the Boroughs of Kaitangata, Milton, and Mosgiel, as from
    time to time constituted, are hereby declared a hydatids
    control district to be called the Bruce-Taieri Hydatids Control
    District.

  3. The Bruce-Taieri Hydatids Control Authority is hereby
    appointed the Hydatids Control Authority for the Bruce-
    Taieri Hydatids Control District.

Discontinuing Sittings of the Magistrate’s Court at Cromwell
in its Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction

WHEREAS by instrument dated the 15th day of December 1948,
published in the Gazette on the 16th day of the same month
at pages 1541 and 1542, the Borough of Cromwell was
appointed together with certain cities, boroughs, and places,
as boroughs in which Magistrates’ Courts might be held for
the exercise of civil and criminal jurisdiction:

And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said appointment:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
pursuant to subsection (5) of section 4 of the Magistrates’
Courts Act 1947, do hereby revoke the appointment of the
Borough of Cromwell, aforesaid, and do declare that this
revocation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of
February 1972.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 29th day of January 1972.

retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

Military College, Duntroon, and are appointed to commissions
in the rank of Lieutenant in order and corps shown, with effect
from 15 December 1971:

The notice published in the Gazette, 26 August 1971, Volume
II, p. 1684, relating to the appointment of Ian Hamish Balfour
is cancelled and the following substituted:

“Ian Hamish Balfour, B.AGR.SC., to be 2nd Lieutenant with

effect from 17 May 1971.”

2nd Squadron, New Zealand Scottish, RNZAC

Lieutenant John Ross Wilson is transferred to the Reserve
of Officers, General List, Royal N.Z. Armoured Corps, with

effect from 1 January 1972.
